Without further ado, let me tell you the Answer. There are 16 Nations which has Bullet Trains.

Countries included in this list are China, Japan, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, South Korea and Other European Nations. Among all, China has the Largest network.

A railway is considered as High-Speed Railway when the speed exceeds 250 kmph. Maglev Trains are the newest technology of high speed trains. They are based on Magnetic levitation to run and unlike conventional trains that use wheels. Maglev have superior controls as its acceleration and braking doesn’t depend on friction of the track. It is very costly and only three Nations hold it China, Japan and South Korea.

Some Facts:

        1.    World’s first High speed rail system Shinkensen (or Bullet train) started ops at speed of 210 kmph in 1964.
        2.    West Germany’s TR04 Maglev touched 250 kmph in 1973.
        3.    Accelerated by steam rockets, West Germany’s Komet Maglev touched 401 kmph in 1975.
        4.    Japan’s ML-500R Maglev succeeded in crossing more than 500 kmph for the first time in the world when it touched speed of 504 kmph in 1979.
        5.    Japanese LO Maglev hit a record 603 kmph in 2015.
